Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted. John Lennon

I half reluctantly write this post…
I’ve never been fond of Miley Cyrus, maybe it’s just the Disney child star thingy that has put me off but her style lately… I’m loving! Plus when she went for the chop it suited her so well. She’s totally taking more risks and looking awesome doing it! Power to short haired chicks hahaha

Hair: Inspiration

So, I’ve been growing my hair out from the pixie cuts, fauxhawks and boy cuts I’ve had for the last three years. This week I got bored with the stage I was at: about 3cm below the ears with a side fringe. It was also getting annoying to style. I’ve always loved Pixie Geldof’s hair and she was one of the main inspirations when I first had it all cut off. So I turned to her for an edgy look for growing out without having a mullet or bowl cut. Out came the scissors, I can’t afford the hairdressers and at 11.30 the other night I had a brand new pink, straight-cut fringe. I’m so in love with it! Pixie wins again!

Shop: Boots

I already own too many pairs of boots and a uni student budget has no consideration for a new designer pair. But hey, I can dream.

Favourite Trend: Jumpsuits

Wish I could pull these off! Such a chic alternative to gowns and perfect take on the menswear trend.

Style Icon: Gwen Stefani

I’ve always been a tomboy and loved grunge and 90’s punk style. Gwen, for me, epitomises this, from the 90’s and days of No Doubt through to now with two little boys and alt band husband, she’s remained true to her own style and pushing the boundaries of fashion. I love her pops of colour, slouchy but tailored pants and slinky tops, her love of blazers and epic footwear. She always has the perfect mix of casual street style and a fantastic pulling together of pieces. Match this with her faultless beauty looks and she’s always a winner!

Summer Staple: Denim Cutoffs

After a stunner of a day amidst many, many cold, grey days. I started craving summer back and the greatest stylish part of it.
